Blake Skjellerup 5th in 1500m Heat

Blake placed a very credible 5th in his heat for the Short Track 1500m speed skating.
He has been a regular athlete at our clinic for the past 4 years so we are very proud to see Blake competing as part of the NZ Olympic team. He will also be racing in the 1000m and 500m later in the week. We will keep you posted on the results.
Blake first competed for New Zealand when he was twelve years old and now, at 24, is the NZ Speed Skater of the Year and the New Zealand Junior Maori Sportsman of the Year. He likens his sport to NASCAR but with razor-sharp blades!
